Volunteer with the Mourne Heritage Trust

Are you interested in volunteering with the Mourne Heritage Trust? Want to meet new people and make a positive contribution? Learn more about the types of volunteering activities available and download an application form.


Volunteers can discover new places, take on exciting challenges, meet new people, learn new skills as well as improve their mental health and wellbeing through outdoor activity.

Conservation activities include:

  • Nursery gardening
  • Upland path maintenance and erosion control
  • Tree planting
  • Invasive species control
  • Dry stone wall building
  • Litter picks and beach cleans
  • Conservation surveying

Working alongside our experienced team, volunteers will learn techniques that enhance their practical conservation skills. They will also discover more about the natural, cultural and built heritage of the area.

Our volunteer base includes individuals, groups and businesses. Activities can be tailored to suit your needs. Get in touch to chat through some options.
