Introducing our new Programmes & Monitoring Coordinator !
| Introducing Chris MacBlain, our recently appointed Programmes and Monitoring Coordinator! In this new role, Chris will be overseeing the administrative aspects of various programmes and functional areas within the Trust’s operations. Originally from the Mournes (Killowen), Chris later relocated to Banbridge, where he completed his education. With a decade spent in Germany organizing Summer Camps for children, Chris brings a wealth of experience to the table. As a certified Mountain Leader, he has led groups through the scenic landscapes of the Mournes, Ireland, and the UK. Chris is the founder of Language Farm Ireland and Mourne Shack, the latter specializing in providing thrilling outdoor adventures in the Mournes. It’s hardly surprising then that he can regularly be found in a barrel of ice water! Outside of work, Chris loves being in the outdoors and enjoys activities such as hiking, climbing, canoeing, and surfing. He also enjoys music and plays the guitar. As a passionate traveller, Chris has chosen to settle in the heart of the Mournes, where he lives with his Dutch wife and their two-year-old. The MacBlain family eagerly anticipates the arrival of their newest member in the spring of 2024. |
